The Idea
Alpha begins with a straightforward question: what does a home need in order to support a rich daily life?
Instead of starting from convention, the project starts from use, movement, light, privacy, gathering, and rest.
The result is a plan that feels intentional rather than ornamental. Each mass has a job to do, and together they
create a house that is grounded, legible, and open to the landscape around it.
The Form
The architecture is composed of strong, simple volumes that break down the scale of the home while giving each
part a clear identity. That keeps the building from feeling monolithic and allows the site to remain present.
Seen from above, the project reads as a collection of connected elements rather than a single oversized object.
That balance between unity and separation is central to the character of Alpha.
The Experience
A good home should not only photograph well. It should be easy to live in. Alpha is imagined as a place that
supports everyday rhythms: arrival, gathering, retreat, work, quiet, and connection to weather and season.
The goal is not spectacle. It is clarity. A house that helps life feel more focused, more spacious, and more at ease.
